- and collaboration

Local and National Partners

For many years, VEGA has cultivated close collaborations across the cultural sector, both locally and nationally. Content-driven partnerships have enhanced quality, increased visibility, and provided inspiration for all involved. VEGA's concert program is particularly built around strong collaborations with professional contributors from the music industry across the country.

Locally, we join forces with other cultural institutions in the city to create dynamic and inclusive cultural experiences for a broader audience. In recent years, we've collaborated with Teater Republique, Golden Days, JazzDanmark, Re:stage (Mino Danmark), and CAKI.

Nationally, we work closely with venues and cultural institutions throughout Denmark. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and concepts, our program is enriched, and our contribution to the national scene is strengthened. Allowing ideas and concepts to travel enables us to inspire and be inspired by other creative environments, fostering a dynamic and diverse cultural landscape.

At VEGA, we've had rewarding collaborations with Kvinfo, Johanna Huset, Draghouse, the Youth Summit for the Capital Region, the joint meeting at Roskilde Festival, and Tuborg Fondet's Annual Report Live.

Beyond our venue, we've developed collaborations with institutions like Godset and Jazzhouse in Kolding (part of Jazz i Trekanten) and the Cultural Meeting on Mors. We've also presented concerts outside our venue and shared cultural policy perspectives in debates at events like Folkemødet and SPOT Festival.

International Collaboration

VEGA aims to be both a professional and social benchmark in how the world of live music evolves. We are a founding member of Liveurope and currently serve on its steering committee. Liveurope, supported by the EU Commission, comprises 23 partner venues across Europe and primarily aims to develop and support the mobility of emerging music in Europe.

Over its first ten years, Liveurope has proven its value as a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Since 2022, the EU Commission has included Liveurope in its new seven-year cultural budget, increasing its funding.

In an international context, VEGA annually presents the industry program "What’s Next," featuring masterclasses, networking events, LAB sessions, conferences, and showcases. "What’s Next" attracts high-profile industry professionals from Europe, Denmark, and beyond, gathering with the vision of exploring the future music scene and sharing knowledge.
