Since 2004, Thomas Dybdahl has enriched VEGA’s Christmas atmosphere with his exceptional Norwegian live presence. This year is no exception, as the singer-songwriter returns for the twentieth time. He brings with him his fantastic and versatile back catalogue of heart-warming songs, with melodic backdrops of singing guitars and soaring strings.

Thomas Dybdahl made his debut in 2002 with the album That Great October Sound and the following year received the Norwegian Spellemann Prize (Norway’s equivalent of a Grammy) for his work. And since then, he hasn’t really managed to put a note wrong.

His releases have been diverse, ranging from Nordic melancholic Americana on his debut to full-blooded soul and funk on the 2020 album Fever. Here, Dybdahl has left the acoustic guitar in the case and instead let the electric guitar set the tone.

Fever received 5 stars in GAFFA, and the unique guitarist’s latest album, Teenage Astronauts (2024), received four stars in GAFFA and was described as follows:
