“We are twins but don't look like it. One of us doesn't swim, one of us doesn't cook.” This is how brothers Josef and Jan Prasil introduce their duo Amistat on Bandcamp.

Nevertheless, the pair—who have Czech and Australian roots and grew up in Germany and Italy—share a very special bond when making music. The brothers draw inspiration from classic singer-songwriter names such as Simon & Garfunkel and Cat Stevens, as well as modern successors like Ben Howard, Kings of Convenience, and Kodaline.

This is evident in Amistat’s beautiful and moving folk hymns, where the synergy between Josef and Jan’s vocals glows, the interplay feels almost telepathic, and the emotional depth is goosebump-inducing.

Amistat debuted in 2016 with the organically captivating album Parley and have since released a number of EPs. At the same time, they have performed in nearly every corner of the world—from Australia and South Africa to the USA, Canada, and across Europe. I

n 2024, Amistat delivered an outstanding concert to a completely sold-out Lille VEGA. Now the sibling duo is preparing a new EP, Everything in Between, set for release in September, after which they will embark on an international tour.

On November 24, they will stop in Denmark to play their biggest concert in the country to date in Store VEGA.
