Live music for parents on maternity leave in a setting that accommodates the little ones On the last Friday of every month, Kunst på Barsel invites you to morning concerts at the city's venues - tailored to parents on maternity leave with a baby in their arms. Sound level, time and setting that accommodates the little ones. Look forward to an intimate, present music experience - in the middle of the maternity bubble.

Lowly
Lowly released the single "Liminal Space" on May 19th, which is the first track from their upcoming album. Softy, which will be released on October 30. In the new year, the band will go on an extensive Danish tour with 13 concerts throughout the country. "Liminal Space" revolves around being a parent in a troubled world and the attempt to create a safe space for your children without letting what you yourself carry be passed on. With the single, they delve into what we pass on from generation to generation, and ask the question of how what we ourselves carry does not become a weight on the shoulders of our children.

Now that all the band members have become parents, they look at their children and are faced with explaining to them the dire state of the world, how we treat each other and nature at the moment, and with a feeling that the adults are nowhere to be found. Lowly are just as worried about the future as you are. But maybe listening to beautiful music can make you forget about it. Just for a moment.

In February, Lowly will play at Store VEGA, but already on November 27th you can experience Soffie Viemose and Kasper Staub from the band at Kunst på Barsel if you are on maternity leave.

Kunst på Barsel bridges the gap between the art scene and parenthood. We actively work for equality, sustainability and inclusion in cultural life by giving space to artistic voices that are often silenced in the transition to parenthood. The project shows that parenthood is not in conflict with artistic practice, but can add new depth, value and perspective to art – both as a performer and as an audience.

All concerts end with a conversation with the artist, where we focus on these issues and open up new perspectives in art and cultural life.
