There has been radio silence from the rhyme legends’ camp for quite some time.

But last summer, Geolo G, Blæs Bukki and Tue Track released the ep Nummer 5, a potent continuation of the trio’s musical journey, in which their universe continues to expand in wild and unexpected directions.

Over the summer, Malk De Koijn have delivered their razor-sharp lyrics to enthusiastic audiences at Syd for Solen and Roskilde Festival.

The latter was reviewed by Soundvenue, who gave the band five flags out of six and wrote:

“We travelled through most corners of their back catalogue. For the most part, the concert was simply a hit parade, almost a greatest hits album. And what hits! They had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands. There was hardly a single piece of dadaist lyricism that wasn’t shouted back at the Orange Stage.”

There is a before and an after Malk De Koijn in Danish music. The group represents a completely unique blend of musical anarchism, devil-may-care social commentary and playful universes that only they - and the initiated - truly understand.

For decades, Tue Track, Geolo G and Blæs Bukki have stood as untouchable hip-hop icons on the Danish music scene. The trio have created their very own surreal linguistic universe, with storytelling and technical execution taking centre stage.
