In a short period of time, Østen has established himself as a strong name on both the live and release scenes.

Balancing tenderness and power, he has created a musical space entirely his own — a place where vulnerability meets grandeur, and intimate pop songs are elevated by an overwhelming live energy.

The beginning of 2026 saw some of his biggest indoor shows to date, including a sold-out Store VEGA — and now he is ready to do it all over again.

On April 16, 2027, Østen will once again bring his tour bus to Store VEGA, this time with his upcoming album in tow.

Speaking about the new album, he says: “Right now, we’re working on finishing the final details of the album, and I’m so incredibly excited that it’s almost ready to be released. I can’t wait to look the audience in the eyes and bring the new songs to life around the country.”

And the signs are already promising.

“Jeg Vil Have Det Hele” (“I Want It All”), the first single from the upcoming album, was named the best Danish song of 2025 by Soundvenue, who described it as “not only the most dramatic, most epic song Østen has ever released, but a state you can step into, a way of looking at the world, a philosophy of life.”

Østen has previously explored themes such as rootlessness, depression and the longing for light on his debut album Daylight. Since its release in 2024, he has spent his time transforming the powerful emotions of his intimate studio recordings into explosive live productions.

Over the summer, Østen has performed at venues and festivals including Tivoli’s Friday Rock, NorthSide Festival and Tinderbox, earning widespread praise from critics: “Østen succeeded in giving the big emotions an outlet and using them as a unifying force.” — GAFFA (Tinderbox, 2026)

When Østen takes the stage at Store VEGA, he will be joined by a carefully selected group of musicians who bring the personal stories within his music to life, while elevating the grand arrangements into an immersive and captivating live experience.
