Inspired by the legendary catalogue of James Brown, Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag puts its own spin on soul and funk, with a dash of dancehall thrown into the mix.

Get ready for classics like “I Got You (I Feel Good),” “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and, of course, “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.” This is the kind of music that makes you want to lace up your dancing shoes and hit the floor.

Some grooves are simply impossible to stand still to. The band is nine members strong, with guitar, drums, keys and a three-piece horn section featuring trombone, saxophone and trumpet. Jamaican frontman Rudee Richards leads the way, joined by rapper Al Agami, whose charismatic stage presence brings an extra edge to the sound.

The line-up features seasoned musicians who have played with acts including Natasja & Ragga Pack, Anden med band, Duck Soup, Napoleon Solo, Fastpoholmen, Blast, Bikstok, Lucy Love and The Sandmen. Together, they bring plenty of experience, attitude and party energy to the stage.
