After selling out his Lille VEGA show in just one month, rising Danish grime artist Wesmo is ready to take things up a notch. This September, he steps onto the stage at Store VEGA for his biggest headline show to date.

In a remarkably short time, Wesmo has developed a sound that is unmistakably his own. Drawing on the roots of classic British grime and the raw spirit of Denmark’s underground scene, he combines the genre’s unmistakable edge with a distinctly Danish identity.

It has been less than a year since the release of his debut EP, 1 ÅR, but Wesmo is already making his way onto bigger stages. His latest single, “HUH”, earned him a spot as P3’s Uundgåelige – a coveted weekly feature on Danish national radio station P3, highlighting the tracks set to break through. It is another sign that his music is reaching well beyond the underground.

With hard-hitting beats, relentless energy and razor-sharp lyrics, Wesmo is quickly establishing himself as one to watch. And his reputation is just as strong on stage as it is in the studio.

At this year’s Smukfest, he turned an afternoon performance at Månen into a full-blown explosion of energy, fire and crowd surfing. The show earned him a five-star review from Danish music magazine GAFFA, which wrote:

“It took Wesmo just half an hour to take Smukfest by storm, delivering exactly what he had promised: uncompromising grime at breakneck speed.”
