With a victory in KarriereKanonen, the title of Ugens Uundgåelige and a critically acclaimed debut album behind them, Downtown July now VEGA.

Up-and-coming Downtown July has had a wide-ranging year and is making a strong mark at this summer's festivals, now they are taking their deeply personal and moving music to headline concerts at VEGA.

In February, Downtown July released their long-awaited debut album Kravler før vi går - an album that encapsulates six years of development, friendship and artistic ambition. Musically, it moves in a field where high poetry meets informal banter, and where introverted emotions are shouted out over pumping grooves and gripping melodies. The album garnered five stars from GAFFA and received words of praise along the way:

Behind the band, which calls itself a love invasion from Central Jutland, are five friends who have found a space together in music since they were very young. They have been predicted by GAFFA to become one of Denmark's big music names and are on the verge of their big breakthrough.
