With elegant piano figures intertwined with crystal-clear guitar surfaces and rocking double bass, Hvalfugl creates their very own unique universe, where beautiful melodies slowly unfold for the listener.

Last year, the trio released the combined double LP Bag Vore Øjne Strømmer Drømme Sagte Forbi, who, with curiosity and a desire to experiment with both new musical ideas and guest musicians, added even more unique elements to the trio's expression.

Since their debut in 2017, Hvalfugl has established itself as one of Denmark's most distinctive instrumental groups with a sound that moves freely between genres. The trio consists of Jonathan Fjord Bredholt (piano and harmonium), Jeppe Lavsen (guitar) and Anders Juel Bomholt (double bass).

Their interplay softly oscillates between warm acoustic sounds and discreet use of spherical effects, creating a distinct musical expression that is both intimate and grandiose. As a live band, Hvalfugl is known for their presence and ability to create unforgettable holistic experiences.
