At the crossroads between tradition and celebration, you’ll find the musical duo Muskila and Simona Abdallah.

The duo move effortlessly between electronic music and Kurdish and Palestinian rhythms, creating a universe where Muskila’s high-energy DJ sets meet Simona Abdallah’s hand-played percussion, including the traditional darbuka.

Together, they have created a sound packed to the brim with breakbeats, rave and a hypnotic pulse, where celebration, community and, above all, dance are cornerstones.

And dance is at the very heart of it. At the epicentre of their music, you’ll find irresistible rhythms that can get even the most reserved soul out onto the dancefloor. The music platform Soundvenue named them among their “Top 10 Highlights from Roskilde Festival’s First Days Programme” and wrote:

“It was impossible to stand still; quite simply, it was not allowed. And it was incredibly fascinating to feel the vibrating, intense, deeply concentrated chemistry unfolding between Muskila and Abdallah - a chemistry that was clearly essential to creating such a tight-knit sonic universe.”

Together and individually, Muskila and Simona Abdallah have performed everywhere from Boiler Room, Strøm Festival and Insomnia Festival to Karrusel Festival, Into The Great Wide Open and RAUM. Their first music together will be released in early 2027.
