Østen has been on a winning streak since its first release. The debut single “Regn” was selected as the Inevitable of the Week on P3, the debut album Daylight (2024) was a star-studded success with critics, and concert tickets for the songwriter's live shows were snapped up.

He has unfolded his grandiose compositions in intimate settings at Ideal Bar, and the songwriter's popularity was cemented in a sold-out Lille VEGA concert in 2025. Now Østen is ready to make time stand still at Store VEGA with his personal and complex text universe.

"This will be the biggest concert in my own name, and it means a lot to me. It will be a huge milestone. I will do my utmost to create an evening we will never forget," says Østen in a press release.

Østen's autumnal, dark universe is testament to a brave musician who dares to paint on a dark canvas, but still lets the light in between the cracks. He writes lyrics full of shattered emotions and pop poetic observations. On the ultra-popular "Regn" - which has more than 3 million plays - scenic soundscapes are conjured up with heavy bass lines, elegant guitar tones and Østen's vulnerable vocals.

His distinctive expression has been described by Soundvenue as "a demonstration of how to draw musical tension curves with millimeter precision".

When Østen takes over Store VEGA in February 2026, it will be in the company of a team of Denmark's most talented live musicians. In beautiful harmony, they bring the debut album's personal stories of rootlessness and depression to life and elevate the grandiose arrangements to explosive and captivating live experiences.
