On April 30, 2027, Psyched Up Janis will take us back to 1997 and perform Beats Me in its entirety at Store VEGA.

It’s been 30 years since the band’s second album was released, and the anniversary will be celebrated with the full album alongside some of their old favourites.

When Psyched Up Janis followed up their debut Swell with Beats Me in 1997, the notoriously difficult second album proved anything but difficult. The album received rave reviews – including a full 6 out of 6 stars from GAFFA – while “The Stars Are Out” became a major hit on Danish radio.

Since breaking through in the 1990s, Psyched Up Janis have left a lasting mark on Danish rock. With Swell and Beats Me, the band became part of the new wave of Danish rock acts that emerged in 1993/94, bringing a fresh dose of energy to the Danish music scene.

And whenever an anniversary has come around, Psyched Up Janis have shown time and time again that these songs are still very much alive. Now, it’s Beats Me’s turn.

At Store VEGA, the band will perform the album from start to finish, including “The Stars Are Out”, “Dying Flame”, “Waiting To Grab” and “Where The Lights Won’t Shine”. The set will also feature old favourites such as “I Died In My Teens”, “Shudder” and “I Think You Suck” – and perhaps a banger or two for good measure.
