On 21 July, Sofie Birch released her album Bivabippabualukka, which she is now taking on tour. On 9 April 2027, the Danish sound artist brings her unique sonic universe to VEGA.

Sofie Birch creates vibrant ambient music that moves between the electronic and the acoustic.

Drawing on field recordings, synthesizers, voice and trance-inspired instruments, she creates immersive soundscapes that gently shift the way we perceive, listen and experience the present moment.

Sofie Birch describes her ever-evolving approach to sound as Ambient Abracadabra. Her practice spans radio, live performances and immersive sound installations, constantly exploring new ways of bringing sound to life. At the heart of her work is a fascination with the senses, our connection to one another and the intelligence of nature.

Blending sound, space and form, she creates unique experiences that show how sound can move us, especially when combined with visual and spatial elements such as costumes and stage design.
