Witch Club Satan performs occult black-metal spells in VEGA
With the effects pedals all the way down, Witch Club Satan mixes a scorching black-metal elixir that burns from the lips down the throat. The Norwegian trio is uncompromising when it comes to enveloping the audience in an all-encompassing musical darkness. Their concerts are a goosebump-inducing experience, where a strong visual expression merges with the hard-hitting music.
Witch Club Satan is an occult, feminist black metal band consisting of Nikoline Spjelkavik (guitar), Victoria Røising (bass) and Johanna Holt Kleive (drums), and the band identifies as witches who invite their ancestors and the women who were burned at the stake to scream through them on stage.
The trio is well known on the stages at VEGA. In 2024, the trio was part of the A Colossal Weekend festival, and earlier this year they were also part of the lineup for the concert with John Cxnnor in the house's largest hall. Here is what Politiken wrote in their six-star review of the band:
“Witch Club Satan returned to scream like only truly mad women can scream, with googly eyes, corpse paint, bare torsos and now long, gray wigs.”
In September, however, it is in their own name that Witch Club Satan will completely tear Lille VEGA apart in a sonic chaos of black metal.
