With a bunch of new songs Annika Aakjær and her band are ready to take the country's stages by storm in the of autumn 2024 . The past year has been dedicated to songwriting and recording new tracks together with her regular producer, Swedish Johan Eckeborn.

Following their last tour in spring 2022, they are now ready to travel around the country again, and on October 30th, Aakjær will visit Store VEGA.

"Music is my way of connecting with the world, and on this tour, I am truly looking forward to creating that connection and sharing those moments with my audience. There is something magical about performing live, it's as if the music takes on a whole new life when shared with others" – says Annika Aakjær.

Since her debut with the album Lille Filantrop back in 2008, Annika Aakjær has stood as a prominent voice on the Danish music scene. Her skills as a singer, composer, and lyricist are undeniable, and she continues to surprise her audience with her razor-sharp and self-revealing stories and songs. Over the years, Aakjær has grown both as an artist and as a person, and her strong connection with her audience has made her one of the country's most beloved and respected artists, both in venues and at festivals.

Sofie1998 writes and produces songs that function as open diaries filled with warmth, enjoyment of life, and self-irony. She portrays the ironic absurdities and challenges of everyday life with a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her lips. In her songs, she combines what many would describe as solid pop songwriting with tones of American R&B, which make up the soundtrack to her life.

In 2020, Sofie1998 moved from Jutland to Copenhagen in her pursuit of a music career. She participated in the KarriereKanonen development program in 2022, and her finalist spot in KarriereKanonen has in recent years served as a catalyst for refining her musical expression and craftsmanship. Sofie1998 is currently out with the single "Norwegian Airlines" and will later this year release an EP.
