Painfully beautiful songs from Nick Mulvey in VEGA
On June 6th, new magical tones will be released in the form of Nick Mulvey 's fourth studio album Dark Harvest (Pt.1)In addition, the songwriter has just released his first single, “Radical Tenderness.” The song beautifully encapsulates both the conflict and healing that has been a fundamental part of the songwriter’s life in recent years.
Three years have passed since Nick Mulvey's last album, and the intervening time has been marked by a deep existential crisis. Nick Mulvey honestly explains in his press release:
"For me, Dark Harvest Pt. 1 tracks the descent and grief that hit me in the last three years, during the losses and challenges I faced. Often brutal, these years have tenderised me, as I know they have others. Making this music carried me through."
The album title, according to Mulvey, describes the descent and sorrow that washed over the songwriter's process of writing the album. The result are songs that, with apparent honesty, burn the heart with beautiful melancholy.
With the emergence of Dark Harvest (pt.1) Mulvey has worked with an impressive team of sound wizards, including legendary producer Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini), Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins) and the Parisi Brothers (Ed Sheeran, Fred Again..).
Nick Mulvey has amassed a sparkling treasure trove of musical experiences since he began his solo career in 2012. While studying music and art history in Havana, he toured extensively with the Mercury Award-nominated band Portico Quartet. In 2014, he released his debut album First Mind. On his last release New Mythology From 2022, the eminent songwriter delved into the depths of human existence through heartfelt and eclectic encounters between electronic soundscapes and organic guitar lines.

Harrison Storm discovered music’s therapeutic powers at an early age. Growing up in a culture of toxic masculinity, he would listen to artists like City and Colour, Angus Stone, and Jeff Buckley and feel less isolated.
Those musicians inspired Harrison to pursue his own music career, and in 2015 he took to the streets in Melbourne to busk, where he made enough money to finance his debut EP Sense of Home. Harrison Storm’s songs have since racked up over 500 million streams, with radio plays on Australia’s triple j and the UK’s BBC Radio 2.
