Australian metalcore masters overthrow VEGA
If you like your rock with mercilessly hard riffs, thunderous drums, soaring vocals and melodious breaths, The Amity Affliction has delivered exactly that for more than 20 years.
With its uncompromising mix of metalcore and post-hardcore, the Australian group has achieved status as one of the country's absolute best and most popular metal groups, which is underlined by four 1st places and two 2nd places on the Australian album charts.
At the same time, they have achieved international success, which can be seen from four top 70 positions in the USA and album releases – including major works such as Let the Ocean Take Me (2014), Misery (2018) and most recently Not Without My Ghost (2023) – for respected punk/metal labels like Roadrunner (Gojira, Turnstile, Deafheaven) and Pure Noise (Knocked Loose, Terror, The Story So Far).
Here at home, The Amity Affliction has previously flexed their live muscles at Pumpehuset and most recently Lille VEGA, where in November 2025 the group gave a captivating demonstration of power together with their compatriots from Thy Art Is Murder.
The Aussies are following up on this success with a new Danish show this fall, where they will be ready to take down Store VEGA on September 27. They will be accompanied by a superb line-up of support bands consisting of the three hard-hitting American bands Silent Planet, Varials and Orthodox.
