In 2024, Australian punk rockers Store VEGA shut down with a blistering guitar lesson. Now they're ready to repeat the success when they return on September 15, 2027.

Punk is, in its essence, quite simple. Guitar, bass and drums, a grim lead singer, fuck you attitude – and then 1-2-3 over the steppes! The Chats have understood that, and the Australian trio manages like few others to breathe new life into the genre's classic formulas.

The Chats was formed in 2016 in Queensland, and the members are inspired by the Ramones, Black Flag and Buzzcocks, and Australian rock groups such as Cosmic Psychos, Dune Rats and Eddy Current Suppression Ring. The three rockers cultivate a love for simple and unpolished punk rock, filled with sharp riffs, quick tempo changes, distorted vocals and lyrics about being young, smoking cigarettes and drinking beer – a song title like “I've Been Drunk in Every Pub in Brisbane” says it all.

The Chats are internationally recognized for their grinding qualities. They have been praised by the likes of Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Iggy Pop and Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner, and their albums have been featured by media outlets such as NME, Pitchfork, Q Magazine and Kerrang!.

The group has also toured extensively in and outside their home country, and their concerts have a reputation for being intense, high-energy performances, with sweat dripping down both the band, the audience and the walls. The audience at Store VEGA could witness this in 2024, when The Chats gave a packed house a terrifically intense punk lesson.

Now the band is ready to repeat the success when they return to Store VEGA on September 15, 2027.
