On Halloween, something very special happens in Lille VEGA.

For the Danish rock band, HALO GHOST , will fire up their characteristic universe of dark stories, western atmosphere and explosive energy on October 31st.

Wearing Day of the Dead face masks and flanked by a mariachi brass section, the Danish rock quintet is gearing up for an energetic and intense concert. An evening where elements from surf rock, Mexican folklore, punk and spaghetti western soundtracks merge into a very special, quirky cocktail of dark, Scandinavian mariachi rock.

HOLA GHOST has toured Europe, the USA, Mexico and South America and has released several albums, EPs and singles. The band is now working on their upcoming third album, which is set for release on the renowned Finnish label Svart Records.

Their releases range widely; from the soundtrack to the debut film by artist Gris Grimly, who has since won an Oscar for Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022), for contribution to the Rancid tribute album Hooligans United (2015).

The band was formed by Peter Sandorff (formerly Nekromantix) and Jeppe B. Jessen in connection with the work on the soundtrack for the American horror film Cannibal Flesh Riot! (2007). Since then, HOLA GHOST has developed into a five-piece band with drummer Kristian Sandorff and the trumpeters from The Haunted Horns.

Hallows' Eve forms an obvious setting for HOLA GHOST's cinematic and dark universe, and the audience in VEGA can expect a concert where atmosphere, intensity and community go hand in hand with the dead and the living.

Siden deres opstart i 2023 har der været fart over feltet med en række anmelderroste optrædener. Med udgivelsen af deres debut plade “Watch Out!” inviterer Fancy Lee lytteren ind i psykedeliske fortællinger om voodoohekse og sumpfolk, New Orleans-bordeller i baggyder og aftaler med underverdenen.
