Fed & Phil hits Lille VEGA with humor, hype and high-energy hip hop
Despite a modest start with spontaneous SoundCloud experiments, rappers FED and Lille Philip have managed to dig themselves out of the underground they had their feet firmly planted in in a very short time. The single “Phil&Fed”, which landed at the end of 2024, was a major turning point for the duo.
The single is both an homage to the confident hip-hop of the 00s and a showcase of the group's signature energy, creating significant traction on both streaming services and social media. The success has catapulted Fed & Phil to more than 25,000 monthly listeners, over a million streams and a breakthrough in full swing.
The two from Kolding have previously released music under their own names, but with an impressive cavalcade of features on each other's projects, they unfold as a solid duo.
Stylistically, the two rappers Thomas Vejbæk (Fed) and Philip Frandsen (Lille Philip) move in a cross-field that combines rap, humor and sharp musicality in a universe characterized by self-irony, pop cultural references and a playful attitude.
Live, Fed & Phil is a chapter in itself. With a full live band, the duo transforms their music into an intense and inclusive experience, where tempo, attitude and community merge into a higher unity. The ambition is clear: It should sound bigger live than on Spotify – and it should be noticeable.
In just a few years, Fed & Phil have moved from high school parties to larger festival stages like Distortion, and with new releases, collaborations and an ever-growing community behind them, the duo is in the midst of a creative breakthrough.
The concert in Lille VEGA on October 14 marks another step in a development that only seems to accelerate.
