Trousdale heals broken hearts in VEGA
With themes such as heartbreak, empowerment and existential angst, American Trousdale's music is a therapeutic miracle cure for finding strength and courage in both each other and oneself.
In terms of genre, the band ranges between country, pop and folk, and when Trousdale wraps Ideal Bar in their enchanting vocal harmonies on February 22nd, you'll understand exactly why they're the perfect shoulder to cry on.
Since their debut single "Wouldn't It Be Nice" – a cover of the Beach Boys classic – the three college friends behind Trousdale, Quinn D'Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones, have made a name for themselves with their beautiful multi-part vocal harmonies and personal lyrics.
The trio's thematically aptly titled new album, Growing Pains, is a journeyman's journey into self-love and working through grief with the help of each other. Growing Pains is co-produced by John Mark Nelson, whose distinguished resume includes collaborations with Mitski, Suki Waterhouse, Shaboozey and Taylor Swift.
Despite more than a decade as a band, Trousdale remains a relatively unheralded band here in Denmark. The band visited Tønder Festival in August with a show that earned four hearts from Politiken, who pointed out that Trousdale "came roaring into Tønder with pinpoint precision in the harmonies. Well-meaning and sympathetic, but also determined."
