With demonic drums, experimental synths and crystal clear hi-hats as his musical backdrop, Wicky seeks to capture the feeling of youth being stuck somewhere between TikTok hyper-reality and cultural depravity. For the past few years, the secretive rapper has been playing around in the nooks and crannies, and with last year's conceptual EP, Evigt Op, Wicky really lit a new fire in Danish music. Evigt Op is uncompromising in its fusion of trap and Scandinavian hip-hop, and the EP also found its way to Soundvenue's list of "The 20 Best Danish Albums of 2024".

This year, the budding rap star has lifted the veil a little on what promises to be a big year with the singles: “Bling Blow” and “Brummer (feat. KESI)”. Wicky’s musical collaboration with KESI in particular marks a significant shift on the road to stardom and recognition. The reception of “Brummer (feat. KESI)” has been full of stars and roses. Soundvenue has given five of them and attributes Wicky autonomy:

“Because even though he takes another step out of the shadows with 'Brummer', and even though he is joined by one of Danish hip-hop's most established voices, it is still unmistakably Wicky. Still like from another planet.”

Wicky is tomorrow's take on the sound of Danish trap in 2025, and the audience can look forward to stepping onto a mysterious dark planet when the doors to Lille VEGA open.
