Things are going well for the Danish band 144Hz currently.
Because with only a handful of singles in their discography, the pop-rock quartet has already managed to make a name for itself in the Danish music scene.
And now the band is back with new music from their satirical and heartwarming lyrical universe and well-produced, catchy melodies. The single “Høj på livet”, made in collaboration with colleague Sofie1998, has just been released. It is currently trending on Spotify and has quickly grown to be one of 144Hz’s biggest hits.
The song is an ode to warm summer evenings in the glow of recognition; a song about spotting someone you once knew, and how old feelings can still arise and resonate in your chest.
Last year, the pop rock group impressed with, among other things, a critically acclaimed concert at Smukfest's Live Camp, a performance at Uhørt Festival and their own headliner at Hotel Cecil. When 144Hz took over Smukfest last year, GAFFA's reviewer was able to report on a band that prioritizes the synergy between the band and the audience. They wrote:
“Kasper Juul-Jantzen in particular comes all around the stage and acts as a link between the band and the audience in a way that makes it all feel quite intimate. During their latest single, “Blive kiikke dig”, he turns alternately towards the audience and his band members while singing: “What do I have to do to become like you?””
On April 15, you can be immersed in 144Hz' musical universe, where quirky lyrics and catchy pop rock are given free rein.
