Norwegian ULD spins threads of warm folk-pop in Store VEGA
With three velvety vocals, piano and accordion unite WOOL folk music, alternative pop and Nordic sound traditions in an intimate and goosebump-inducing soundscape.
The trio's debut album, from another reality (2024), created a positive stir in the Norwegian review community, and ULD received three nominations for the Spellemannprisen 2025, the Edvardprisen and the Prøysenprisen for the release.
GAFFA was also very excited when the three musicians last year enveloped Lille VEGA in a present and pure euphony. The reviewer gave the concert five great stars and signed off with dazzling lines such as:
“As a great example of how the art of simplicity and Nordic musical traditions can be united in a present, the Norwegian trio Uld wove light out of the darkness in a tightly packed Lille VEGA.”
ULD consists of Une Lorentze Onarheim, Lucia Andreadatter Utnem and Dagny Braanen Lindgren, who exude pure calm on stage with a special ability to combine silence with great musical sensitivity and nerve.
The trio effortlessly puts the music at the center, and ULD captivates the audience with their genre-crossing sound universe and stunningly beautiful, traditionally-based songwriting.
In the winter of 2025, ULD played two completely sold-out concerts at Oslo Konserthus. Their first Danish tour that same year was also sold out, and in March 2026, they played support for Aphaca in Copenhagen in front of 6,000 spectators two nights in a row.
ULD has previously played at Bergenfest, SPOT Festival, Tønder Festival, Piknik i Parken and Union Chapel, and this autumn the trio will be stopping by VEGA again – now in the house's largest hall.
