This year, the album Drums Not Dead celebrates its 20th anniversary, and parts of the album can be experienced live when Liars takes over Ideal Bar on October 24th.

Liars is led by Australian composer and producer Angus Andrew, who has used the project as a musical laboratory for constant change since 1999. For more than two decades, Liars has moved across genres and expressions, with each album opening doors to their own sonic universe of indie rock, punk and electro.

At the center of the work is a curiosity about the possibilities of music, where field recordings, improvisation and experimental studio work are intertwined in compositions that rethink song, structure and sound. The music is unpredictable, exploratory and cannot be confined to one specific form.

On stage, Liar's experimental universe unfolds as Angus Andrew, together with an ensemble of musical collaborators, fuses immersive sound and performance. Here, the songwriter's uncompromising urge to challenge the boundaries of music is translated into a live experience where you never quite know what to expect.
