Virtuoso troubadour John Craigie returns to VEGA
The American singer-songwriter John Craigie returns to VEGA for the third time.
With a genre mix of Americana, folk and classic singer-songwriter spirit, the modern troubadour invites the listener into a crackling and present universe of well-played guitar and beautiful songwriting.
Craigie had his breakthrough with the album No Rain, No Rosesin 2017 and has since honed his ability to make his audience both laugh and reflect in a concert format where presence and direct contact are at the center. His unique style has led to comparisons to both Woody Guthrie and Mitch Hedberg.
The songwriter is currently working on his new album,I Swim Here(2026), recorded between New Orleans and Astoria. The music moves in a warm and organic field of tension between Americana, folk and roots, where the soundscape shifts between the rhythmic, down-to-earth energy of the South and the quieter, more contemplative atmosphere of the American West Coast. The result is an album that feels both alive and intimate.
With an extensive back catalogue and many years of touring activity, Craigie is a seasoned and dynamic live performer who has shared stages with, among others, Jack Johnson, Langhorne Slim, Brett Dennen, Mason Jennings and Bella White.
On October 22, he will take over Ideal Bar with his characteristic storytelling universe and virtuoso guitar playing – ready for another intimate and captivating concert in VEGA.
Support: Jobi Riccio
Jobi Riccio is an American singer-songwriter with a vulnerable, powerful vocal and a present live expression.
With the upcoming albumFace The Feeling(May 15, 2026) she enters a new chapter, where her former folk and country universe fromWhiplash(2023) expands into a more electric and indie-rock-influenced soundscape.
The album is an intense and honest journey into grief, anger, doubt and desire, where Riccio insists on staying in the difficult emotions rather than running away from them.
The result is her most courageous and dynamic release to date.
