Since their breakthrough with “Transparent & Glasslike” in 2003, the trio behind Carpark North – Lau Højen, Søren Balsner and Morten Thorhauge – have left an indelible mark on Danish rock. Known for their powerful sound and visual live productions, Carpark North always delivers concerts with intense energy and a sense of community.

The band's latest release is a double album titled AIR. First part of AIR was released in early 2024 with the single precursor 'If I Were Your King', which went straight into the Top 10 on the airplay chart, and once again manifested Carpark North as the hitmakers they have been in the Danish music landscape for the last 20 years.

AIR – Part I is a deep look inward into poetry – into the band's own stories of divorce, death, love and longing. Part II is the band's musical explosion, where they break the boundaries of what people perceive them to be. Here they dive into deep rave, horror, sex, soul, silence and otherworldly big songs.

With the release of the double album AIR Carpark North completes the circle of their creative process over the past three years, while also inviting the listener into their lives over the past few years with an album that shows an unprecedented personal side of the band.

The album is a glimpse into Carpark North in the year 2025. And just as life bristles in all directions, so does this double album. AIR is Carpark North's most creative and exciting release to date, the band explains in a press release.

With the new album fresh off the press, the band will go on a Danish tour in 2026, where they will also stop by Store VEGA. Here we will have the opportunity to hear the songs from AIR live, but don't worry, there will still be room for iconic hits like “Transparent and Glasslike”, “32” and “Shall We Be Grateful”.
