Featuring saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass and drums, Fat Freddy's Drop deliver their critically acclaimed live show to ecstatic audiences around the world. Unlike many other bands, Fat Freddy's songs are created in the moment and built on improvised jams, resulting in eight studio albums to date. Their first, Based on A True Story, was also created in this way and was the first independent release to hit #1 on the New Zealand charts.

In 2024, a brand new album titled BAYS is on the way, which, as usual, will be played live, taking the band on the road once again.
