Allen Anjeh is a fresh musical breath of air in the world of R&B and neo-soul. Anjeh has a strong ear for danceable and soulful tones, drawing on her experiences as a child in Cameroon and a teenager in Denmark to create something that is truly her own, something entirely unique.

Her debut EP, Ó mmɛ ne (2024), has been many years in the making and has finally arrived. The debut consists of a handful of songs that musically convey the influence of her African roots to the fullest. Anjeh's lyrical universe revolves around the simple joy of communicating between people.

The lead single, "Rising Sun," is sparkling alt-R&B songwriting with a clear pop edge, and Anjeh's vocals serve as a clear guiding star in the music.

"There is a recurring theme of communication in my work," she says. "'Rising Sun' is about two people facing each other but learning to find a better way to process those feelings. When I wrote the song, I was frustrated, and writing it helped me gain perspective."

The EP celebrates Africa and highlights the culture that flows from the continent. There is much more in store for the musician, and Allen Anjeh intends to make every single song count. "One should never limit oneself," says Anjeh.
