August Høyen has had a wild year. The young singer-songwriter had a real breakthrough with his debut EP Det Hele Handler Om Dig (2023). This was followed by P3's Uundgåelige, performances at Roskilde Festival and Smukfest, a DMA nomination, a string of sold-out concerts on his first full tour of Denmark - and most recently, his first concert at Store VEGA. Now the singer-songwriter is announcing another tour of Denmark with new music in the bag.

2024 doesn't seem to be any less busy either. August Høyen has spent the past few months writing and recording new music with his regular creative collaborators T&O and Laurits Smedegaard Andersen.

The first single released is ‘Jaloux’ - a song that aims to help uncover a feeling that most people recognise, but that few people like. And a song that once again demonstrates what makes Høyen unique as a songwriter: his ability to tell the very simple and clear stories about the common human emotional life, which he observes and describes without judgement, warmth, care and understanding for the listener.

August Høyen's musical career began when he started playing the drums as a boy - the children in his family had to learn to play. While exploring the rhythms, he sat in his bedroom listening to Stevie Wonder and practising singing. Hour after hour. While his friends got better at football, he got better at expressing himself through song.
