In early February, singer, guitarist and songwriter Parker Millsap will perform his first solo acoustic show on a Danish stage. He has previously played concerts with his former band at Tønder Festival, but now he is back with an intimate set-up in Lille VEGA.

In 2023, Millsap released his sixth and latest album, Wilderness Within You. The 13 tracks move within his familiar universe of Americana, blues, folk, country and roots inspiration with detours to more experimental sides, so you'll never get bored in his company. Man's relationship with nature is the focal point of the songs, along with thoughtfulness and the contrasts in life, the dark sides vs. the light.

The singer made his album debut in 2012 with the album Palisade, and two years later, the self-titled second album was released. It earned him a “Emerging artist of the Year” nomination from the Americana Music Association.
 
The Very Last Day (2016) launched Millsap's career in earnest and was nominated for "Album Of The Year" by the Americana Music Association. 2018's Other Arrangements brought the musician to Europe for the second time. During the Covid-19 lockdown, Parker finished his fifth album, Be Here Instead (2021).

Be Here Instead is more experimental than the previous releases, and the lyrics are more thoughtful and reflective with both unbridled imagination and the search for presence in a chaotic world. Parker will take songs from all of his albums with him when he packs his guitar case for his solo tour in 2025.

Parker Millsap was born and raised in Oklahoma in a religious home where the Pentecostal movement captivated the family. Along with the faith and belief in healing through prayer, speaking in tongues and spiritual baptism, music was an equally important ingredient in his upbringing.
