Experience a dreamy pop universe when Oklou visits VEGA
Oklou , born Marylou Mayniel, is a French singer, producer and DJ who creates dreamy, futuristic pop inspired by ambient music, trance and alternative R&B.
Marylou Mayniel grew up in the countryside of western France and received classical training in piano and cello as a child. Inspired by producers and songwriters such as Arca, Palmistry and James Blake, she began making abstract electronic pop and released her debut EP April under the name Loumar in 2014 before taking the stage name Oklou.
After moving to Paris, she formed a female DJ and radio group called TGAF (These Girls Are on Fiyah). Later moved to London and joined experimental club collective NUXXE (Coucou Chloé, Shygirl), and her EP The Rite Of May as of 2018 included production from Sega Bodega, Bok Bok and Krampf.
Oklou continued to release singles, including 2020's "Toyota" (with Flavien Berger) and A Colors Show with two tracks from 2020, before her debut mixtape Galore released via True Panther Sounds. She also released official remixes of Caroline Polachek's "Door" and Dua Lipa's "Fever.".
Oklou's latest single, "family and friends", is an atmospheric and emotional journey that combines her signature dreamy synths with intimate vocals and deep, electronic productions.
With its experimental soundscapes and fragile yet powerful vocal performances, the single showcases her ability to create a deep emotional space that is both personal and universal.
The concert with Oklou has moved from DR Studie 2 to Store VEGA. All tickets purchased for the show in Studio 2 are now valid for the show in Store VEGA.
All ticket holders who have purchased tickets for the show in Studio 2 will receive an email from Tixly with more ticket information about the concert in Store VEGA.
