VEGA Backstage Tour - with Nikolaj Muldkjær
Please note that the guided tour will be in Danish
Experience the VEGA magic outside opening hours
VEGA is the former People's House. Since Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the beautiful, functionalist building that opened its doors in 1956, every corner has been dedicated to community, art and culture. Originally, the house formed the framework for the Danish labor movement, which for several decades organized everything from political meetings and congresses to silver weddings and Christmas tree parties in the house on Enghavevej.
Today, Lauritzen's architectural genius is Denmark's leading concert venue with over 400 events annually in three concert halls with visits from both international superstars and new upcoming names.
On a VEGA Backstage tour, you delve into more than 60 years of living history between the brown wooden panels. You get an insight into both the concert productions and the house's special history. You will get answers to how the musicians start their evening before they step onto the stages, hear the best stories from our first 25 years as a venue and gain insight into the development from a working-class stronghold to Denmark's largest, rhythmic venue.
The tour is with VEGA historian Nikolaj Muldkjær and starts at 17.30 in front of Store VEGA's entrance. The whole tour takes approx. two hours and ends with a beer or water. This is included in the ticket price.
