VAKT is melancholic dream pop with strong vocal melodies. The music consists of pulsating synthesizer, noisy string instruments and broken beats in a haze of sound and effects.

Undertonere previously reviewed VAKTS single “Kunstige Lys”, which has become the closing track on their brand new album Et sted at vokse sig stærk. Their newfound sound is described as follows:

“There's still a definite poppy sensibility to Vakt's sound, but at the same time, it's as if the sound has become more all-encompassing than anything the group has previously released. It reminds me a bit of the cocktail of uncompromising grandiosity and a mix of cool distance and loving tenderness that Lowly has mastered - just not quite as ethereally light on its feet and with more guitar heaviness.”

VAKT's lyrical universe is characterized by the sensual and intimate, and lead singer Solvig Tora Ringhof delivers the lyrics with strong presence and empathy. In the autumn, VAKT will release their debut album Et sted at vokse sig stærk. In this connection, the band celebrates the release with an immersive concert in Ideal Bar, where the audience will have the opportunity to hear the album performed in full for the first time.

Anton Klüver, Balthasar Vilhelm Asmussen, Christian Haldrup and Solvig Tora Ringhof are behind the project. Their strong friendship forms the basis for their curious approach to music.

Behind Moth Oven are Anna Rieder and Sebastian Nathan, both poets who graduated from Forfatterskolen in 2019 and have each published award-winning books. Moth Oven is their new joint project, a performance and a band founded between winter and early spring 2024.
