Karl Pava ’s debut EP Drømmebarn was released in September 2026, less than six months after the 21-year-old songwriter released his first single, “Bingo”. In a short space of time, he has carved out a musical universe distinctly shaped by his home island of Bornholm.

The island serves both as the geographical backdrop to his music and as the starting point for Pava’s personal stories.

On “Svaneke Havn”, a summer romance from back home finds its way into his songwriting, which musically moves from intimate, acoustic moments to expansive, sweeping pop arrangements.

Karl Pava finds himself at a transitional point in life, and this is reflected throughout his songs.

He writes about relationships changing, old ideas about oneself that linger, and the people around you beginning to choose different paths. Self-irony sits closely alongside sincerity and has become a recurring feature of his lyrics.

Despite only having released music for a short time, Karl Pava has already performed at UHØRT Festival, KlangFest and SPOT Festival. He has also taken the stage at Lille VEGA as support for DeDerDrenge.

At its core, Drømmebarn is about holding on to a childlike sense of imagination, where fantasy remains an endless source of inspiration and the possibilities seem limitless.
