KARLA effortlessly moves between pop and hip-hop, and with her latest release, “Uafhængig”, she adds another dimension to her musical universe through more organic, live-oriented productions.

Although KARLA considers herself a fiercely independent person, she has also experienced what it feels like to meet someone you suddenly cannot imagine living without. It is this all-consuming infatuation and close connection that she explores on her new single.

“Uafhængig” was created in collaboration with Lauge and Valentin from Blæst, who first took notice of KARLA after seeing her perform live at Byhaven.

Their enthusiasm developed into a musical friendship and later an invitation for KARLA to support Blæst at their two sold-out shows in Store VEGA. Here, KARLA threw herself headfirst into the occasion and even stepped in for Lamin on the hit “All In”.

And a move like that requires a fair amount of courage and confidence.

KARLA has both. On stage, she delivers high energy, infectious hooks and a commanding presence usually associated with artists who have many more live shows under their belt.

When it comes to VEGA, however, KARLA is already becoming something of a familiar face. In addition to supporting Blæst in Store VEGA, she played a sold-out show at Ideal Bar on September 26, making one thing clear: KARLA and VEGA are far from finished with each other.

So, on March 31, KARLA takes the next step up the VEGA ladder and heads to Lille VEGA. Here, pop and hip-hop will collide for a night that gives her even more room to showcase her magnetic stage presence.
