French electropop finesse with Kazy Lambist
Up-and-coming producer and DJ Kazy Lambist is back with fresh electronic pop tones after nearly six years of intense production hiatus. His viral breakthrough "Doing Yoga" earned him the "new talent" award at the Inrocks Lab audience award in 2015, international recognition from film director Guillermo Del Toro, among others, and led to a collaboration with fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelajac.
On previous musical releases, he has collaborated with Jean-Benoît Dunckel (Air) and Italian rapper Tutti Fenomeni, among others. On his upcoming album Moda, his sources of inspiration are even further afield, with expressions and collaborations with artists from Turkey to Italy and his home region of Montpellier in the south of France.
Kazy Lambist's distinctive airy and playful sound of a sun-drenched Mediterranean dance floor has also already taken him to the world's live stages and nightclubs, including an extensive joint tour of the US with compatriot Kid Francescoli. This December, dance-hungry fans of French electronic pop can look forward to being invited into the sophisticated, sensual and emotional universe when Kazy Lambist takes the stage at Lille VEGA.
