The Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen has made restlessness his compass. The nomadic life became the foundation for the breakthrough album Vagabond (2014), produced by his musical playmate Mike Rosenberg (Passenger). Stu Larsen has played stages in North America, Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand and has cemented travel as the focal point of his work.

Since then, it has been the common thread in his warm folk-pop, where strong melodies and presence go hand in hand. His sound universe is acoustic and immediate, carried by virtuoso fingerplay and an ability to leave the songs naked and direct.

With the upcoming album Solitude, which will be released on June 19, Stu Larsen traveled to 12 different, remote locations over the course of a year, writing one new song a month. The result is a collection of acoustic, honest songs written in deliberate solitude – created by unplugging and giving space to thoughts.

On October 4, Stu Larsen will stop by Ideal Bar and invite the audience up close into his intimate, guitar-driven universe.
