At the age of 23, the Japanese artist traveled Takuya Nakamura to the United States to study with jazz legend George Russell at the New England Conservatory of Music. The educational period inspired Nakamura to gain a deeper understanding of jazz theory and composition, and the period laid the foundation for his innovative approach to music

His musical journey took him to New York, where he quickly became a fixture in the vibrant jungle scene. Nakamura's many musical talents have allowed him to collaborate with the likes of Quincy Jones, DJ Logic and Arto Lindsay, all of whom have benefited from the distinctive sound of the Japanese multi-artist.
