Experience the VEGA magic outside of opening hours
VEGA is the former Folkets Hus. Since Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the beautiful, functionalist building that opened its doors in 1956, every corner has been dedicated to community, art, and culture. Originally, the house framed the Danish labor movement, which for several decades organized everything from political meetings and congresses to wedding anniversaries and Christmas parties in the house on Enghavevej.
Today, Lauritzen's architectural masterpiece is Denmark's leading concert venue with over 400 events annually spread across three concert halls featuring visits from both international superstars and new upcoming names.
On a VEGA backstage tour, you delve into more than 60 years of history within the brown wooden panels. You get insight into the concert productions and the house's special history. You learn how the musicians start their evening before stepping out on stage, hear the best stories from our first 25 years as a venue, and gain insight into the development from a labor stronghold to Denmark's largest, rhythmic venue.
The tour is led by VEGA historian Nikolaj Muldkjær and starts at 17.30 in front of the entrance to Store VEGA. The entire tour takes about two hours and concludes with a beer or water. This is included in the ticket price.
