Yör gives free rein to dreams in VEGA
In a raw and spherical universe, the indie pop specialists from Year an enigmatic and inciting sound universe that fuses the porous and intimate with the grandiose and explosive. At the center of distinctive beats, bass and majestic synth landscapes, Marie Kildebæk's captivating vocals and lyrical talent shine like stars in a cloudless night sky.
Yör released their critically acclaimed debut album, nothing so right, in 2023, and the record aroused positive resonance in the public's duck pond as well as enthusiasm among critics.
Yör will be back with an album in the spring of 2026, when their new track will be released.
Before then, Yör will release a new single from the upcoming album – “jeg går aldrig uden dig”, which is also the title of the tour. The song cements the state Yör is in now, both as a band and as friends.
“The single is for those who are down in the coal cellar, and the song is an extension of your outstretched hand, letting them know that you are there for them. It is about being connected and dedicated to another person – or to your pack,” says Yör.
The upcoming album revolves around what we inherit – from family and from the past – and which parts we choose to carry with us into our adult lives: whether it is, for example, a family we start, or friendships that grow deeper and become a self-chosen family.
“It cements the inner necessity we feel when we think about what matters in our lives. Never Without You addresses both those you will never be without – but also “you”, as in yourself,” says Marie Kildebæk.
In 2025, Yör was named Band of the Year by Den Ufhjælpnige – underlining their significant impact on the Danish music scene.
The audience can look forward to a concert in Store VEGA, where Yör invites listeners up close to their musical universe, which is at once vulnerable, wild and captivating.
