The duo 100%WET consists of the two producers and guitarists Jakob Birch (The Lost Weekend, Lovespeed) and Casper Munns (Himmelrum, Drop, Splitscreen), who unfold their mighty shoegaze universe, drawing inspiration from 90s breakbeats, drum'n'bass and vaporwave.

Recently, 100%WET has gathered all their love for all genres and released the EP Leave it (2025), which thematically plays with the contrasts between living in the present and nostalgia.

Birch and Munns both studied at the Rhythmic Music Academy in Copenhagen and formed their musical bond in 2022 through a shared fascination with combining elements of breakbeat, drum'n'bass and acid house with their grunge and shoegaze songwriting.

In January, 100%WET was part of VEGA's Selected 2025, where Soundvenue praised their experimental tones:

“The duo's two members concentrated in the best shoegaze spirit on their instruments and their many effects pedals, creating a tightly packed, noisy sound. We got breakbeat, hard techno, jangle pop and even a short Merzbow-sounding noise intro from the DJ. It was a tour de force of wild musical impressions.”

The duo performs with various vocalists including Eir and Hockeysmith, who add beautiful ethereal melody lines to the fast-paced and guitar-driven sound universe. In particular, the artist Polly (Amalie Petri) complements the otherwise dense and energetic sound of 100%WET with ethereal, soft layers.
