Ana Juél is a new name on the Danish scene, who with a strong, personal voice and an international sound has already made her mark as a musician on the rise. Her expression has led Soundvenue to draw parallels to big names like Jamila Woods and Amber Mark.

Behind Ana Juél stands Jean Anastasia Juman Elbæk, who with Guyanese roots moves smoothly between modern R&B, warm guitar surfaces and pulsating grooves.

Her critically acclaimed debut EP You Don't Have To Love Me from 2025 was awarded five stars by GAFFA and called “a strikingly strong debut”. In her music, a heart beats for justice, and with inspiration from Natasja, among others, she unfolds stories about standing up for oneself and each other.

Although her solo career is still in its infancy, Ana Juél has solid live experience – most recently at Orange Scene with Annika in 2025 as a choir singer, and this summer she will revisit Roskilde Festival as a solo artist in First Days.

It all culminates on November 25th, when Ana Juél sends fresh R&B energy from the edge of the stage in Ideal Bar.
