Since 2010, the critically acclaimed trio Baby In Vain has been refining their profound indie rock, culminating in February with the critically acclaimed album Afterlife. Danish critics have been queuing up to praise the grandiose rock compositions that exude melancholy and uncompromise. Jyllands Posten acknowledged with five big stars and wrote in their review:

"The band simply excels in classic songwriting and does not allow themselves to be dictated by the production whims that tediously lock so many other records into highly predictable time slots."

The core of the band has always been their interplay, a way of playing when you've been friends forever. Vocal harmonies, drums, guitars and sometimes voluminous string arrangements form the foundation of the new album. About Afterlife they say:

"The album title is honest, a little over the top and heartbreaking at the same time. It contains stories about friendships and the journey of life, what is shared, given, gained and lost along the way. It's nostalgic, romantic and melancholic, something about accepting that one thing ends while another begins - saying goodbye to dreams but holding on to them, growing up and remembering to dream on."

In the band's early days, Baby In Vain released hard-hitting distorted doom and rock and roll. When the band released their debut album More Nothing (2017), the young friends embarked on a massive tour of Europe and North America with the likes of The Kills and A Place to Bury Strangers.

With the follow-up See Through (2020), the band showed a new side of their musical talent with hypnotising and dreamy indie pop tones that embraced a warm and more present sound universe.
