VOLA brings out the metal machine and fires heavy riffs at Store VEGA
The Copenhagen quartet VOLA , known for their unique fusion of progressive metal and introspective lyrics, announces their Friend of a Phantom Europe 2024 Tour including a show at Store VEGA.
The band, known for their innovative approach, continues to captivate fans and audiences with their signature combination of complex rhythms and moving lyrics. The band has always looked beyond the genre's limitations and created music that both stimulates the listener intellectually and resonates with emotions.
Over the years, VOLA's releases have shown that they are not afraid to experiment with different styles. Their debut album Inmazes introduced a sound characterized by depth and heavy riffs, which evolved into more complex soundscapes in subsequent releases, such as Applause of a Distant Crowd.
These albums have received massive critical acclaim and helped build a dedicated fan base, and a generally good reputation in the metal scene. Their 2020 release, Witness, further explored the dark themes and complex rhythms that have increasingly solidified their position as pioneers of the genre.
In 2023, VOLA indicated the beginning of a new chapter in their musical journey with the release of the single “Paper Wolf”, once again showcasing their ability to redefine their sound on their ongoing exploration of personal and collective existence.
Friend of a Phantom tour will be a turning point in their career and mark an artistic evolution, inviting the audience on a deep and introspective journey.

The Intersphere:
German quartet The Intersphere are all about big choruses, dramatic harmonies and are often linked to Biffy Clyro, Muse, Royal Blood and Thrice. With their second album Hold On, Liberty! (2012) the band entered the album charts for the first time, and ten years later they have become one of the most recognised alternative rock acts in Germany, and with their latest cut from last year, Wanderer (2023), are poised for even greater international success.
Charlotte Wessels:
Charismatic Dutch singer/songwriter Charlotte Wessels' musical universe blurs genre boundaries between enchanting melancholy, dark pop elements and progressive, heavier soundscapes.
The former Delain singer's previous solo releases - the self-produced full-length compilations Tales From Six Feet Under (2021) and Tales From Six Feet Under Vol II (2022) - have earned Wessels a remarkable fan base. A Dutch club tour, thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify, and a loyal fanbase on Patreon are the reality for the enigmatic songwriter.
Charlotte Wessels will release her new album on 20 September 2024. The striking first single "The Exorcism" has already landed.
