Blowing out inciting pop bubbles in VEGA

Blæst will give a concert at VEGA in the spring of 2026. With a new lead singer and a stable existence at the top of the charts on streaming and radio, it is a band in great shape that will occupy Store VEGA.

Sarah Sophie has stepped in as the new lead singer of Denmark's biggest pop band and must find her place in the existing dynamics that the remaining members have built up over the years. In a video on Instagram at the end of March, Blæst showcased the new band constellation with Sarah Sophie Malmros in the front. The 55-second video was a snippet of "The New Girl" and was the culmination of a long process where the band had to find each other and be creative together.

"It has been with great nervousness and awe that I have entered this successful and much-loved pop band... and it was important to me that the very feelings that came with it should be promoted in this song. Although the song for me is very context-based, I think many people know the feeling of being new in an already established community."
Narrated by Sarah Sophie.

During the summer, Blæst has manifested itself again as one of the best playing live bands filled with energy and musical unpredictability - with their impressive back catalogue of hit singles. At a long string of festivals across the country, Blæst has showcased their new constellation, and the audience has sung along to the 55 seconds that have opened the door to a whole new chapter in Blæst's history.

Now the juicy piece is finished writing, finished producing by the band themselves and released as a strong testament to the new Blæst. That the constellation works is evident to most; and the few hits they have made together have received solid attention on the charts and on the radio.

With the songs “We could go all the way” and the official European Championship song for the Danish women's national team “DK's Kvinder”, the new version of “Den nye pige” follows a trail of winning songs. It's the perfect introduction to an unforgettable evening in Store VEGA this spring.
