Caoilfhionn Rose 's music is rooted in a broad knowledge of folk, jazz and all the 20th century classical composers. She creates a magical, supernatural space of her own imagination, blending piano with synthesizers and juxtaposing live rhythm sections and saxophone tones against ambient sound and forward-thinking production techniques.

Diverse influences and sources of inspiration were brought together into a miraculous and quiet work that stands as a testament to an artistic adventure, of both improvisation and hard work, of trusting our connection to nature, other people and music itself. Mildfire is a composition collective based in Oslo and Berlin. The members have been part of the Norwegian and German music scene for more than a decade, playing and composing in various bands and musical projects.
