On May 21st from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Ideal Bar, the Association for the Music Movement of 2019, KVINFO and ReSearch Humanity invite you to an open event where you can listen to the brave voices who have shared their experiences with sexism in the music industry, in connection with the project 'The Sound of Courage' - Together for a more equal music industry:

On this evening, we will give the microphone to the voices who have shared their testimonies. We will do this through a reading of selected testimonies, where we will give life to the anonymous voices that show the extensive and structural problem of sexism in the music industry.

You can expect an evening of both great seriousness and unity when musicians and actors from the music industry, includingGoss - Tanja Zapolski - Scum - Maria Bramsen-Thorbjorn Øllgaard(Taste Itself)-Karen Vincent(director Warner Music) - and others, will read anonymous testimonies to us. Afterwards, a panel will discuss the testimonies and how we can help each other create a music industry with less sexism. To round off the evening, we will be visited by a yet-to-be-announced musician who will play an intimate concert for us.

It is important that many of us listen when people speak up. That is why this is an open event, where everyone is welcome regardless of their own experience with the topics. We hope to see a room with all genders represented, because sexism concerns us all and only together can we create positive change.

It will be a particularly important evening that we look forward to sharing with all of you who support, step in, try to change behavior, speak out, share, and in one way or another have experienced or been exposed to experiences that you could not stop, change, or get help for.
