In a pitch-black melting pot of gloomy moods, black metal, doom, sludge and intense hardcore, HEXIS created a distinctive and hard-hitting sound universe.

The band has played more than a thousand concerts worldwide since 2010 and has built a reputation for delivering high-energy and immersive concerts with all those miles on their legs.

HEXIS has a number of EPs, singles and three full-length albums in their discography, of which the latest record, Aeternum from 2022, was praised along the way by Devilution. In their review of the album, they wrote, among other things:

“'Aeternum' is a record that beats the listener down with its overwhelmingly brutal expression and deeply depressing lyrical content, and that is certainly meant positively, even though it may sound like the opposite.”

HEXIS has brought their metal caravan past festivals such as Roskilde Festival, COPENHELL, Bloodstock Open Air, Roadburn, Damnation Festival and on October 17th they will make a stop at Ideal Bar.

With deep roots in the European underground scene, Violence has evolved from its raw punk beats to a modern interpretation of late 80s post-punk, where melancholic moods merge with enveloping, synthesizer-driven soundscapes.

In 2022, Violence released their debut album Area Sub Rosa, which was met with great critical acclaim. The album received 5 out of 6 stars in GAFFA and was highlighted as one of the strongest releases of the year.

Their upcoming EP Nostalgia is Depression, due out in the fall of 2026, moves even further into the electronic universe while continuing to explore the outer edges of post-punk.
